As we approach the final stages of our three-year home renovation journey, I’m excited to share a walkthrough of the transformed spaces that have become an integral part of our daily lives. The most significant and personal transformation is perhaps our kitchen, which has undergone a remarkable metamorphosis over the past 36 months. With its new layout, textures, and hues, it’s now my go-to haven where I cherish every moment, making it the perfect starting point for this tour.
Farmhouse Kitchen Renovation
As we settled into our new home, we tackled the first phase of renovations by giving the walls a fresh coat of paint. We knew that this was just the beginning, and that a more extensive makeover would be in store once our schedules and budgets allowed for it. Guest Bedroom Makeover
After our upstairs guest bedroom became a storage space for home improvement tools and supplies, it was time to revamp the other guest room into my office. To tackle this mess, we dedicated two weekends to renovate the room and give it a fresh new look. The project involved removing the whimsical hot air balloon wallpaper from the top of the wall, applying a bold new coat of paint, and installing modern baseboard and crown molding.
We were thrilled with the result, and it was a personal best for us – completing the entire makeover in just two weekends.

Initially, the space was dull and uninviting. But with a few strategic updates – including fresh paint, a sleek new vanity, updated baseboards, and tasteful decor – we transformed it into a true showstopper. When we embarked on this guest bathroom renovation, we underestimated the complexity of the project. After ripping up the linoleum floor, we discovered significant water damage to the subfloor, forcing us to extend our timeline by several weeks. In total, the renovation took us around a month to complete. To rectify the issue, we installed a new subfloor and applied a sealant to ensure the surface remained watertight.
Following this, we moved on to cosmetic touches, painting the walls and vanity, as well as installing a sleek new countertop and sink. To finish it off, we added some decorative elements that brought the space together. The end result is a charming farmhouse-style bathroom that’s perfect for guests.
