They soon come up with a plan to deactivate the scorch night and escape, but before they can implement it, they are subdued and taken to the mountaintop.

Once there, Clarke, Monty, and their friends are forced to take part in a violent Reaping – a brutal fight to determine which of them will be Mount Weather’s blood donors and die in the process. Monty defeats his opponent and then looks on in horror as his friends are taken away, presumably to be turned into living blood bags.

In the end, Clarke is able to outmaneuver Cage and turn the tables on the Mountain Men, setting off an explosion that kills most of the Mountain Men inside, including Cage. With the immediate danger taken care of, Clarke, Lexa, and the other survivors escape Mount Weather, but not before Lincoln is severely injured by the escaping radiation.

Once they’re safely away, Clarke and Lexa part ways, but not before Clarke promises to stay true to her word and help end the war between the Grounders and the Sky People.
