Does Odin know about Thanos?

At this point, it is unknown whether or not Odin, the King of Asgard and the All-father in Norse mythology, knows about Thanos, the primary antagonist of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Odin and Thanos both fall into the label of “godly” figures or power-wielding entities, it is unknown if they exist in the same universe and can come into contact with each other.

Thus, it is reasonable to assume that Odin is unaware of Thanos.

In Norse mythology, Odin is known for travelling throughout the nine realms, and his power is one of the greatest in all these realms. He is responsible for maintaining the flow of different aspects in life, such as laws, battle, death and wisdom.

He is also associated with magic, prophecy and arcane knowledge.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however, Thanos is presented as an extragalactic conqueror, whose actions are to bring balance to the universe. His mission is mainly focused on collecting the Infinity Stones and using them to fuel his ambition of erasing half of the life in the universe in order to balance its resources.

Thus, because the scope of their separate missions and domains don’t overlap in a significant way, it is unlikely that Odin knows about Thanos.

Was Thanos afraid of Odin?

No, Thanos was not afraid of Odin. Despite his power and influence, the Mad Titan was not intimidated by the All-Father. In fact, Thanos thought exceedingly highly of Odin, even declaring that the All-Father was an example of a greater “hero” that had inspired him to seek what Thanos believed to be true power.

Thanos had a deep admiration and respect for Odin, and while Odin held little regard for Thanos and his selfish schemes, they maintained a healthy respect for one another throughout their encounters.

Did Odin ever fight Thanos?

No, Odin and Thanos have never fought. Odin is a character from Norse mythology, while Thanos is a fictitious character from Marvel Comics. They inhabit different fictional universes and therefore have never had the opportunity to come into conflict.

While both characters possess great power and strength, it is uncertain whether one or the other would have emerged victorious had a battle occurred.

Can Thanos win against Odin?

No, Thanos cannot win against Odin. Odin is a far more powerful being than Thanos and has immense power, greater even than the Infinity Stones. As the ruler of Asgard and all of the Nine Realms, his immense strength is unmatched.

He can manipulate cosmic energies, control vast armies, and has access to powerful magical artifacts and weapons, not to mention his All-Father status which renders him virtually unbeatable. In addition, Thanos’ greatest strength—the Infinity Stones—would likely be of little use against Odin since Odin’s power is so great that they would be rendered practically useless.

Therefore, Thanos would be no match for the power of Odin.

Why does Thanos fear Hulk?

Thanos has faced off against many powerful foes over the years, but few can match the sheer power of the Hulk. As a nearly limitless source of strength, the Hulk stands apart from most other classic Marvel superheroes.

Therefore, it is understandable why Thanos fears the Hulk. Not only does the Hulk have enough strength to take on an entire legion of foes single-handedly, but his regenerative powers combined with unlimited strength make him a formidable opponent for any challenger.

In addition, the fact that the Hulk is virtually indestructible means that Thanos could easily be outmatched and overpowered if he engages in battle with him. In other words, Thanos rightfully fears the Hulk as a truly formidable and unstoppable force.

Does Thanos fear Tony Stark?

While Thanos does recognize Stark as a threat based on his intelligence, prowess, and access to resources, Thanos’s seemingly single-minded goal to bring balance to the universe through erasing half of all life in the universe overpowers any fear that Thor might have of the Iron Man.

Additionally, Thanos is depicted as a rational, calculating individual, who usually relies on an understanding and manipulation of his environment and opponents to fully achieve his goals. He has shown great calmness and restraint in the face of death, which could mean that he does not feel any form of fear in the presence of Stark.

What is the biggest fear of Thor?

Thor’s biggest fear is failure, particularly in terms of balancing his responsibilities as an Avenger with his duties as the King of Asgard. He is constantly trying to prove himself, not just to others but to himself as well.

This can lead to Thor feeling a lot of pressure to succeed and to not let anyone down. This fear of failure is something that has driven Thor throughout his life and has been a major source of motivation for him in terms of protecting the innocent and ensuring justice is served.

Can Thanos pick up Thor’s hammer?

No, Thanos cannot pick up Thor’s hammer because it is an enchanted hammer, which can only be lifted by those who are deemed worthy. In the Marvel Comics franchise, which is the source material for many of the Marvel movies, “worthiness” is determined via an enchantment that causes the hammer to only be lifted by those who are pure of heart and selfless.

As a result, even if Thanos were to try to pick up the hammer, he would not be able to do so because the hammer’s magic would not allow it.

Who is Thanos weakness?

Thanos has several weaknesses that have been established over the years. His most notable weakness is his own ego and ambition. Thanos has an insatiable desire for power and recognition that often leads him to underestimate his opponents and overestimate his own power.

He is so focused on achieving his goals that he often makes choices that can put him at a disadvantage.

Another weakness is his family connections. Thanos is the son of Eternals and his relationships with his family have caused much conflict in the Marvel universe. These connections have allowed for the infiltration of opponents into his ranks and for powerful enemies to make attempts to use his family members against him.

Lastly, Thanos has a vulnerability to certain types of energy. Due to his half Eternal-half Deviant genetic makeup, he can easily be taken down by intense energy blasts from Cosmic Cube-empowered scientists or Infinity Gauntlet-fueled opponents.

This is seen most significantly when his powerful silvern form was taken down by a single blast of energy.

In summary, Thanos’ weaknesses are his own ego, ambition, and his family connections, as well as his vulnerability to certain types of energy blasts.

Could Odin have stopped Thanos?

The answer to this question depends largely on the specific circumstances of the situation and how powerful Odin was at the time. It is possible that Odin, as an extremely powerful god, could have posed a challenge to Thanos and potentially stopped him from achieving his goals.

However, Odin typically displayed traits as a benevolent fatherly figure, as opposed to an all-out aggressor. This means that he would more likely have sought to talk things out and make a compromise, rather than force Thanos into submission.

Additionally, in the comics, Odin and Thanos have been shown to have a very fierce and evenly-matched rivalry, with the outcome of any battle between them likely to be difficult to predict. If Odin had gone head-to-head with Thanos and they had reached an impasse or stalemate, it is possible that Odin’s strategy could have ultimately stopped Thanos, at least temporarily.

Overall, it is possible that Odin could have stopped Thanos, but it is also likely that Odin may have focused more on dialogue and negotiation than brute strength, as he was not typically known for violence.

Who is more powerful Odin or Thanos?

Both Odin and Thanos are incredibly powerful Marvel characters and it can be difficult to say which one is more powerful. Both of them have incredibly impressive feats of power, and it really depends on what power source you are referring to when determining which one is more powerful.

In terms of magic, Odin is more powerful than Thanos. Odin is the All-Father, the King of Asgard and the one true ruler of the Nine Realms of Norse Mythology. He is the wielder of a host of divine powers and the holder of the powerful Odinforce.

With the Odinforce, Odin has control over the minds and bodies of others, is able to tap into cosmic energies and effectively transcend space and time, and is capable of using powerful magical spells and enchantments.

Thanos on the other hand, has no magical abilities and is not considered a disciple of magic. However, he does have impressive physical powers such as superhuman strength and durability, as well as superhuman speed and reflexes.

He also has superhuman intellect, cosmic awareness, and access to advanced technology. With these powers, he was able to acquire a number of powerful artifacts, such as the Infinity Gauntlet, which further enhanced his power.

At the end of the day, it really depends on what aspects of power you are referring to when determining who is more powerful. If you are talking about magical power, then Odin is clearly the more powerful of the two.

However, if you are talking about physical power and access to powerful artifacts then Thanos may be more powerful.

Why didn t the Celestials stop Thanos?

The Celestials are an extremely powerful and ancient race, and it is unclear within Marvel canon why they did not intervene to stop Thanos during his various schemes and wars. However, it is possible that the Celestials, recognizing Thanos as a powerful and unstoppable force, chose not to directly interfere in his affairs and cause further chaos or destruction.

They may also have seen him as a necessary “evil” and may not have wanted to completely eradicate him (or other, similar villains) for fear of upsetting the balance of the universe. Additionally, it is possible that the Celestials felt that Thanos’s actions were ultimately serving some higher purpose and that it was better to allow him to carry out his goals, rather than intervene directly.

These are all speculations, but ultimately, it is unknown why the Celestials chose not to stop Thanos.

Who did Thanos fear the most?

Thanos had many enemies and feared few of them, but the one he feared the most was The Living Tribunal. The Living Tribunal is an omnipotent cosmic entity who guards and oversees the cosmic balance of the Marvel universe.

He is a being more powerful than even the cosmic abstracts and above the combined power of entities such as The Celestials, Galactus and The Reality-Bender Infinity. The Living Tribunal exists to maintain the cosmic balance and enforce peace across the Marvel Universe.

Thanos was aware of this and feared the power of the Living Tribunal, who was capable of completely destroying the universe out of balance by using the powerful Infinity Stones. It is said that Thanos had once approached the Tribunal to request power, only to be rejected.

The Tribunal had deemed that the only way to gain power was through the balance of the universe, and denied Thanos’s request. For this reason, Thanos had every reason to fear The Living Tribunal.

Did any Asgardians survive Thanos?

Yes, some Asgardians survived the destruction of the ship by Thanos in the 2018 movie Avengers: Infinity War. The survivors included Thor Odinson, the Asgardian king; Heimdall, the keeper of the Bifrost Bridge; Korg, an indentured Kronan warrior; Miek, a half-insect warrior; and Valkyrie, a former Asgardian soldier.

However, towards the end of Avengers: Endgame, the Asgardian survivors return to Asgard and rebuild their civilization. In addition, Thor adopts two children from the survivors of the ship and passes the throne on to Valkyrie.

The survivors of the Asgardian ship also presumably made their way to the new Asgard, a kingdom Thor founds on Earth.

Overall, while Thanos was successful in wiping out much of Asgard, some Asgardians did survive his attack and were able to eventually rebuild their homeland.

Did Odin have Thanos gauntlet?

No, Odin did not have Thanos’s gauntlet. The Infinity Gauntlet was originally forged by the Eternal Eitri on the orders of Thanos, who wanted an item of great power that allowed him to rule over the universe.

The Gauntlet first appeared in the comic book series The Infinity Gauntlet, where it was wielded by Thanos himself. Later, the Gauntlet was returned to Eitri, who then presented it to Odin and the Asgardians, who hid it away in a secret location to prevent it from being used for evil.

Although Odin did possess the Gauntlet for a time, he seemingly had no knowledge of its true power and did not use it. When Odin died, the Gauntlet was scattered after his death and its whereabouts since then remain unknown.
