How do I get my Google Play Music back?

If you no longer see your music in Google Play Music, you have a few ways to get your music backed up.

First, if you’re subscribed to Google Play Music, you can access your library from any device. To access your music library, open Google Play Music and select My Library from the left-hand side of the screen.

If your music isn’t showing on any of your devices, it’s likely that your Google Play Music is not linked to the same account that you used to purchase the music, so make sure that you’re linking to the correct account.

Secondly, if you purchased music from the Play Music Store, you can re-download it from the Play Music website. On the website, sign in to your Google account and go to Music > Purchased on Google Play.

From here you can click Manage and then View your order history to see any music you have previously purchased.

Thirdly, if you backed up your music library on your computer using Google Play Music Manager, you can restore your library using the Google Play Music Manager. Download the Google Play Music Manager and sign into your account.

From there, you can follow the steps to restore your library.

Finally, if you can’t access any of your previously purchased music, you may need to contact Google Play Music’s customer service team and they can assist you in getting your library back.

Google officially retired Google Play Music on December 1st, 2020 and users were given until December 2020 to transfer their data from their Google Play Music account to YouTube Music. After the transition period, Google Play Music was no longer available, and users were not able to stream music from the service.

What happened to the music I bought on Google Play?

Your purchased music should still be available to you via your Google Play Music account. If you’re using a computer to access your account, you can locate the songs in “My Library” under the “Music” tab.

If you’re using the Google Play Music app, your purchased music can be found under the “My Music” tab. If you’re unable to locate any of your purchased music, you may need to try a few troubleshooting steps.

Additionally, make sure that your device is connected to the internet and that your app is updated to the most recent version. Finally, if the songs still aren’t showing, contact Google Play Music’s support team as there may be a problem with your account or the songs you purchased may need to be restored.

Why is Google music not working anymore?

Unfortunately, Google has recently announced that it will be discontinuing its Google Play Music service. The service will be supported until December 2020, at which point users will no longer be able to stream, purchase, or access their music libraries.

Google plans to transition users to its newer service, YouTube Music, which it believes is better tailored to today’s streaming environment. YouTube Music is now the primary streaming and music library service offered by Google and its parent company, Alphabet.

Google Play Music was originally launched in 2011 and served as what was then considered a “one-stop-shop” for streaming and managing music. However, over the past few years, as streaming services have become increasingly popular, Google Play Music seemed to have been left behind; unable to make the necessary updates needed to keep up with the competition.

As a result, Google decided to focus on YouTube Music as their main music platform.

This decision affects people who have been loyal Google Play Music users, or who have invested in the service. In order to transition to YouTube Music, users must manually upload their music libraries and playlists, but unfortunately, any content purchased through Google Play Music may be lost in the process.

The discontinuation of Google Play Music is an unfortunate move for those who invested in— and enjoyed— the service. Although Google has suggested an alternate solution with YouTube Music, it is understandable that many users may still be disappointed with the discontinuation.

Where has my music gone from Google music?

If you can’t find your music in Google Music, there could be a few reasons why. First, make sure you are signed in to the correct Google account. If you’re signed into the wrong account, you may not be able to locate your music library.

Next, if you’ve recently purchased music from the Google Play Store, it may take some time to appear in your music library. Try allowing some time for those tracks to sync to your library.

You may also want to check if your music is stored on an external device or SD card. Try plugging in your device or card, and check if the music is located there.

If your music library is still missing, it may help to remove and reinstall the Google Play Music app on your device. This may help restore any missing music. You can also try clearing the Google Play Music app’s cache.

If you’re still not able to find your music, contact Google Support for further assistance.
