How do you get back a deleted conversation on iMessage?

If you’ve accidentally deleted an iMessage conversation or believe it has been lost due to an iPhone update, there are a few ways to get it back.

First, you can try checking the Recently Deleted folder in your Messages app. On the main Messages screen, tap the “Edit” button in the top right corner and you will see a list of threads. If the conversation you are looking for is there, you can select it and tap “Recover” to restore the conversation.

If the conversation is still inaccessible, you can try using a Third-party Tool. Such as iPhone Data Recovery. Once you launch the app, it will scan your iPhone for recoverable data. When the scan is finished, you will be able to preview and select the conversations you’ve lost.

You can then choose to selectively recover the conversations.

You can also try recovering the conversations from an iCloud or iTunes backup. First, make sure your iPhone is connected to the computer. Then open up iTunes and choose to “Restore from Backup. ” You will be prompted to select which backup you would like to restore from.

Once it’s done restoring, you should have access to the iMessage conversations from the time the backup was taken.

If you have attempted all of the above solutions, and still cannot get access to your iMessage conversations, it’s likely that the conversations were permanently deleted. In this case, you will not be able to recover them.

How do I see iMessage history?

To view iMessage history, you will need to open the Messages app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Once you have opened Messages, select the conversation you wish to view the history of. On Mac, you can simply scroll through the conversation and view the messages.

On iOS, you can select the conversation and then swipe to the left and select “Details” in order to view the participants of the conversation, shared photos, etc. You can also select the details option from the “…” menu to view the conversation information.

Additionally, you can long-press on a message in order to view the details of when the message was sent and by who. Finally, if you want to browse through an extensive history of your iMessages, you can use Spotlight Search with the “Messages” query to view all of your conversations, or use the “iCloud.

com” website and sign in with your Apple ID in order to review your entire message history.

Does deleting a conversation on iMessage delete it for the other person?

No, deleting a conversation on iMessage does not delete it for the other person. When you delete a conversation on iMessage, it will be deleted from your device, but the conversation will remain visible to the other person.

The other person will still be able to see all the messages from the conversation in their iMessage app. Even though you deleted the conversation from your device, they will still be able to see the messages that were exchanged.

They may also be able to view the deleted messages in the Trash folder on their device.
