Recent Searches is a feature that comes with Instagram’s main app, as well as its website. When you open the search bar, you will be able to view a list of recently used terms and phrases. You can choose any search from the list to quickly access that same post or profile.

Recent Searches are categorized according to type, so if you search for a person you can quickly access their profile again, and the same applies to hashtags and locations.

Recent Searches also comes with a Clear option, which allows you to delete all the previous searches you have made. This can be done either by clicking Clear at the top of the list, or by tapping the x next to each entry if you only want to delete some of them.

It’s important to keep in mind that Recent Searches are specific to the device you are using, so if you search something on one device, it will not show up on your other devices.

Finally, other factors could be at play, such as a low internal storage issue on your device, or due to an issue with your internet connection interrupting communication between your device and Instagram.
