How does the Cubs 50 50 Raffle work?

The Chicago Cubs 50-50 raffle is a fundraising raffle held during home baseball games. The raffle is held to raise funds for the Cubs Charities that supports local communities. During the game, raffle tickets are available for purchase at kiosks located throughout Wrigley Field.

One half of the proceeds from the raffle ticket sales are paid out in a cash prize to one lucky winner. The other half is donated to Cubs Charities.

To enter the raffle, each purchased raffle ticket is given a unique number and presented to the raffle participant. Raffle tickets are sold up until the middle of the seventh inning of the game. At the end of the seventh inning, one winning raffle ticket number is drawn by Cubs Charities staff and announced to the crowd.

The lucky winner receives 50 percent of the total amount of money raised from the purchased tickets.

Additionally, throughout the season the Cubs host megadraws that feature additional prizes, such as a chance to throw out a first pitch at a Cubs game or tickets to future Cubs games. All raffle proceeds benefit the Cubs charities.
