Is it free to cancel Zipcar?

No, Zipcar does not offer free cancellations. Cancelling your Zipcar delivery will incur a fee that varies depending on how far along you are in the rental process. Generally, if you cancel your reservation prior to 48 hours before your pickup, you will not be charged a cancellation fee.

However, if you cancel within 48 hours of your reservation pickup date, a cancellation fee of $50 will be charged. Cancellation fees can also apply if you decide to leave the car early, or if you do not return the car by the agreed time.

Additionally, if you return the Zipcar beyond its agreed return time, you may be subject to late fees.

Can I cancel a Zipcar membership after 1 month?

Yes, if you are a Zipcar member and you don’t want to continue, you can cancel your membership after 1 month. You will need to log into your account and click on “Cancel Membership”, which can be found under the “Membership” tab.

You will be asked to provide a reason for your cancellation, and then you will be asked to confirm your cancellation. Once your cancellation is confirmed, your membership will be cancelled and no further payments will be charged to your account.

Zipcar may contact you to discuss the cancellation, and if you have current reservations, they will be cancelled as soon as you cancel your membership. Please note that if Zipcar determines that you have violated any of the Zipcar membership or rental terms, you may be subject to additional fees and your membership may be cancelled immediately.

What happens when you cancel a Zipcar?

Zipcar also offers a cancellation protection plan for an additional fee of $2.50 per reservation. With cancellation protection, you’ll receive a full refund upon cancellation of your reservation with no cancellation fee.

Do you get money back if you return a Zipcar early?

If you return the car early due to an emergency or other unforeseen circumstance, you may contact Zipcar Customer Service and they may be able to provide a pro-rated refund. Additionally, if you have purchased an hourly, daily or weekly renewal, Zipcar may provide a prorated refund if you are unable to renew your reservation for any reason.

Refunds are at Zipcar’s discretion, and there is no guarantee that you will receive one. If, for any reason, you need to change or cancel your reservation, you can do so through the Zipcar app or website, or by calling Customer Service.

Does Zipcar refund unused time?

Yes, Zipcar does refund unused time. The amount refunded depends on the type of reservation you booked, how many hours and days you had reserved the Zipcar, and when you cancelled the reservation. How do I remove my card from Zipcar?

To remove your card from Zipcar, simply log in to your Zipcar account. From there, select “Account Settings” and scroll to the “Payment Settings” section. You’ll see a list of credit cards associated with your Zipcar account, and you can select the “Remove” button next to the credit card you no longer want to use with Zipcar.

Be sure to confirm the removal of the card by selecting the “Yes” option in the pop-up menu. Once the card is removed, it’ll no longer be associated with your Zipcar account, and you’ll need to add a new card in order to have access to Zipcar vehicles.

Can I have two Zipcar accounts?

Yes, you can have two Zipcar accounts. In order to have two accounts, you must have two different email addresses, two separate payment methods and two distinct Zipcodes associated with each respective account.

Once you’ve obtained the two separate payment methods and email addresses, you can register for two Zipcar accounts. However, you will not be able to use both accounts to book the same Zipcar, or drive multiple Zipcars in the same reservation period.

You will also be limited to having only one Zipcar per account and you may be subject to the Zipcar One membership guidelines if you have multiple accounts. Additionally, the insurance coverage may be different for each account, so be sure to review the information in your Notice of Comprehensive Insurance on each individual account.

How do I find my Zipcar member number?

To find your Zipcar member number, start by logging into your Zipcar account. Once you are logged in, your account information will be displayed. You can find your Zipcar member number on the “Account Overview” section on the left-hand side.

It should be listed under your name and will begin with a “Z” followed by a series of eight numbers. If you are having difficulty finding your member number, you can also view it on your Zipcard, which will be located on the inside of your Zipcar key fob.

Your member number should also be printed on the card, with the same letter and number combination.

Can I get a Zipcar refund?
