What is the difference between remove download and delete from Library?

The main difference between removing a download and deleting from Library is the location of the file. Removing a download usually refers to when a file is removed from the computer or device it was downloaded onto, while deleting from Library usually refers to when a file is removed from an online library or other online storage location.

Removing a download permanently removes the file from the computer or device it was downloaded onto, and it is no longer available in that location. If the file needs to be accessed again, it must be downloaded again.

Deleting from Library, however, does not necessarily permanently remove the file. Instead, it is removed from the online library, and while it is no longer available in that location, it may remain accessible in other locations.

For example, if a file is deleted from a cloud storage library, the file may remain available through previously shared links, or on other devices it was synced to.

Why do songs get removed from my Apple Music playlist?

Songs can sometimes get removed from Apple Music playlists for a variety of reasons. For example, songs can get removed if a particular track or album has expired or is no longer available. Musicians and record labels often set expiration dates on songs to generate more sales and hype around the artist’s music.

Additionally, copyright holders may require some songs to be removed from streaming platforms as a way to protect their intellectual property.

Finally, it’s also possible that Apple Music’s algorithm is automatically removing songs from the playlists. The streaming service uses algorithms to keep playlists up to date and relevant by adding new music and removing previously released songs.

As such, it’s possible that some of your playlists may have songs removed periodically when the algorithm finds something it thinks is more appropriate.

Why does Apple Music remove songs?

Apple Music regularly checks their library of streaming music and removes songs that are no longer available due to copyright issues, lack of availability by the artist/label, or other valid reasons.

Many of the songs that are removed have been previously released, such as soundtracks, singles, and albums, and are no longer being actively purchased or marketed by the artist or record label that owns the rights to the music.

In many cases, these songs are removed due to the artist’s request or because the song’s publishing or copyright issues have not been sorted out yet.

Additional reasons Apple Music may remove songs can be due to restricted music, explicit content, and excessive explicit content – either upon request from the rights holder, a distributor, or as Apple’s own discretion.

Outside of copyright or other legal reasons, Apple Music may also remove music from their library simply because it is no longer popular or in demand. Much of the music in Apple Music’s library is provided from rights holders and labels, who control the availability and pricing of the music.

As tastes change, music that was once popular may no longer be actively promoted, resulting in the song being dropped from Apple Music’s library.

All in all, Apple Music’s intent is to keep their library current and up to date with the most popular and requested music. They remove songs on a regular basis to ensure the quality of their service remains high and that their customers have access to the music they love.

What happens if I delete music from my iPhone?

What happens when I uncheck a song on iTunes?

When you uncheck a song on iTunes, it indicates that the song will no longer be synced to your device. The song will no longer play on your device, but it will remain in your iTunes library and can still be played using iTunes on your computer.

Why are unchecked songs still on my iPhone?

Unchecked songs may remain on your iPhone due to a variety of factors. Firstly, if you have iCloud Music Library enabled, all content on your library will back up to iCloud even if it is not checked.

This means that when you delete a song from your device, it may still exist in your iCloud Music Library and can reappear on your device at any time. In addition, if you’ve previously connected your device to iTunes or a computer, it may have imported all of your music, even those songs that weren’t checked.

Finally, when manual syncing is enabled, any new music that is downloaded is automatically added to your library, regardless if it’s checked or not. Therefore, if you’ve been downloading music from iTunes, Spotify, or other services, the unchecked songs will still remain on your device.

Why won’t iTunes sync my entire library?

The most common reason is that you may have exceeded the maximum amount of data that can be stored on your device. Additionally, older versions of iTunes may not allow for full synchronization of your library.

Outdated versions of software on your computer, phone, or tablet could prevent proper syncing between devices, as could a faulty USB connection or corrupt files in your iTunes library. Lastly, if iCloud Music Library is enabled, it may be preventing iTunes from syncing all of your music.

Additionally, Apple Music tracks may not appear in the iTunes library when attempting to sync.

To resolve this issue, try updating your iTunes version to the latest version. Also, check the USB cable and make sure the connection is secure. Additionally, you can disable iCloud Music Library and try re-syncing from iTunes.

If all else fails, you may need to re-download any corrupt files in your library, or delete your iTunes files and re-add them to the library.
