What does draft mean in Instagram?

Draft on Instagram (sometimes also referred to as “Saved Draft”) is a feature that allows an Instagram user to save an unfinished post and return to it later. This can be useful for those who want to publish a post but would like more time to double check the information, take a better photo, or gather feedback from friends and colleagues before making it public.

Once you have saved a post as a draft, you can access it from within the Instagram app by tapping the hamburger icon in the upper right (represented by three horizontal lines) and selecting Drafts. With the draft visible, you can make adjustments, publish it or delete it as you see fit.

Who can see your drafts on Instagram?

The drafts you create on Instagram are only visible to you, so no one else can see them. When you create a draft, it will be saved in your drafts folder, which only you can access. Additionally, when you go to post something, if you save it as a draft, it will only save the content you have written, not the visual content like photos or videos.

This means that no one else will be able to view the content in your drafts folder, since it cannot be accessed by anyone other than you.

How long do Instagram drafts last?

Instagram drafts can last indefinitely as there is no set expiration date for them. Once a post is added to Drafts, users can find it and edit it whenever they want before it is posted. Drafts allows users to save posts to be sent at a future date or to review and modify them before being shared.

Posts saved as draft will not be visible publicly to anyone other than the user who saved the post. Drafted posts are kept in the Drafts folder located in the Instagram camera section of the app, and they can be edited and posted whenever the user chooses.
