She also hopes to spend some time outside, checking out the beaches, parks, and outdoor experiences the city has to offer. In addition, she is looking forward to taking in some of the art, culture, and history that San Francisco has to offer.

Why did Amy Sweezey leave WESH?
Amy Sweezey left WESH after having served WSFL for five years in 2020 for personal reasons. After joining the WESH news team in 2015, Amy made her name as an anchor, reporter, and fill-in co-anchor.
During her time with WESH, she won several regional Emmy Awards and reported on major news stories, such as Hurricane Matthew and Pulse Nightclub tragedy. She has also covered countless stories that have made a positive impact on the Central Florida community.
However, after five successful years, Amy chose to move onto a new chapter in her life where she could pursue different career opportunities. Though she will miss her former colleagues and the WESH news family, Amy is deeply grateful for the unique experiences and skills she was able to develop in her time at the network.
While specific details about her future plans have yet to be revealed, it’s safe to say that Amy is off to a bright future. WESH viewers are certainly looking forward to seeing what she will accomplish.

Jaclyn Deaugustino is now living in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. She has been there since the summer of 2017. She is currently working as a freelance designer and illustrator, with a focus on branding, visual identity and communication design.
Her work has been featured in national publications and websites, including Forbes, the San Francisco Chronicle, Apartment Therapy and the SF Weekly. She has also held design residencies and workshops in the Bay Area and beyond.

Meredith McDonough went to mornings in order to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a news anchor. As a young adult, she had always been inspired by the stories of the extraordinary news correspondents she had watched growing up.

With her parents’ full support, she worked hard to achieve success in the field of communications, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Arts and a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

With her ambitious personality, Meredith was confident in her abilities and she wanted to use those skills to become a leader in the field. She was motivated to be in the mornings when news was just coming out, to be able to jump on it and stay ahead of the competition.
Meredith eventually achieved her goal, as she went on to become an anchor for the morning news show in Boston. She has since been recognized by the news industry for her invaluable contributions as well as her dedication to journalism.
