What happens after you unblock someone on Snapchat?

Once you have unblocked someone on Snapchat, the person will be able to find your profile if they search for it. They can also view your Story, send you messages, and view your snaps in their feed. If you have had a conversation with the person previously, they will be able to find your shared messages in their chat tab.

Additionally, their name will reappear in your contacts list and you will be able to see any new snaps, stories and conversations that they have posted since you blocked them.

Why won’t Snapchat let me add someone when I’m not blocked?

Snapchat will not allow you to add someone when you are not blocked because of its system security measures that are designed to protect users’ privacy and safety. When you try to add someone who hasn’t blocked you, Snapchat reviews the user’s contact information and account settings, such as if they have their profile set to private or blocked specific members.

If the account has been set to private, Snapchat won’t allow you to add the person since they must approve all friend requests. Similarly, if the user has decided to block a member, Snapchat’s system won’t allow you to add them since any friend requests from that member will be automatically declined.

When you can’t add someone, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the person is actually blocking you; it just reflects Snapchat’s system security measures.

Why has someone disappeared from my blocked list on Snapchat?

Firstly, Snapchat allows users to unblock anyone whom they have previously blocked, so it is possible that the person you blocked decided to unblock themselves.

Secondly, the user may have deleted their Snapchat account, which would automatically remove them from your blocked list. If their account is deleted, you will not be able to unblock them.
