What is being roached?

Being “roached” is a term that refers to the practice of using roach clips, often metal or glass, to hold burning cannabis joints or blunts. Roach clips, also called joint holders, are small clips that allow smokers to continue the smoking process without burning their fingertips or lips.

The use of roach clips is common when smoking large marijuana cigars (blunts). The term is also sometimes used to refer to the remaining piece at the end of a joint when it is too small for a holder but can still be smoked.
