· Cobalt Length: 18” to 24” – Cobalt is one of the toughest materials to drill, so bits made from this length are especially durable and efficient for use in hard materials.

· Extra Long: 24” to 48” – Extra long drill bits can be used for drilling through materials like brick walls or concrete. This type of length makes it possible to create long, straight holes without having to reposition the drill bit.

How are drill bits measured?

Drill bits are typically measured in inches and millimeters in terms of the diameter of their shafts. The most commonly used sizes in the US include fractional inch sizes and letter sizes.
