Tobi did not go blind because he was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa, which is an inherited condition that causes progressive vision loss due to the breakdown and loss of cells in the retina.

The condition does not cause total blindness but can eventually lead to a severe decrease in vision. Tobi was fortunate enough to have the disease detected early and was able to access treatment to slow the loss of vision.

He underwent various tests and was placed on a regimen that included vitamins, medications, and lifestyle modifications that helped to manage the condition and reduce the progression of the disease. As a result, Tobi was able to maintain some degree of vision and was able to avoid going completely blind.
