Why are my AirPod pros not responding to touch?

Your AirPod Pros may not be responding to touch because of a software issue with the device. This could be due to a change that was recently made to your device’s settings through a firmware update, or it could be an issue with how you’re interacting with the AirPods.

It’s also possible that the issue could be due to physical damage on your device, such as dirt and debris blocking the Activity Sensors or Bluetooth antenna. To rule this out, please try gently cleaning your AirPods with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

If the issue persists, please try resetting your AirPods. To do this, place both AirPods in their charging case, and then press and hold the setup button located on the back of the case for at least 15 seconds.

Then, remove the AirPods from the case, and re-pair them with your device.

If none of these troubleshooting suggestions have helped, please contact Apple Support as they can provide you with further troubleshooting assistance regarding the issue.

Why can’t I tap my AirPods Pro?

If you’re having trouble tapping your AirPods Pro, you may want to check a couple of things first. Make sure that your AirPods Pro are powered on and within range of your device (within 33 feet or 10 meters).

Also, confirm that you have Bluetooth turned on in your device’s settings. If you have already confirmed these two things and you’re still having difficulty tapping your AirPods Pro, look for any blockages such as hands, head, hair, or accessories that can interfere with the connection, and make sure you have updated the AirPods software.

Another possibility is that the automatic switching feature is turned off, which can prevent your AirPods from connecting when you switch between devices. To turn this on, go to your device’s Bluetooth settings and click on your AirPods as the device and make sure that Automatic Switching is enabled.

If these all fail, you may need to reset your AirPods Pro. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the ‘i’ icon next to your AirPods, then tap on “Forget this Device”. After you’ve done that, come back to your Bluetooth settings and reconnect your AirPods.

1. Packaging: Firstly, scrutinize the packaging of your AirPods Pro. Genuine AirPods Pro come in a white, cube-shaped box with a printed serial number and a white pamphlet which contains information about wireless usage.

Apple is known to change the design of the box and pamphlet from time to time, however they all have the same format.

2. Volume Control: Next check the functionality of the AirPods Pro. With the genuine Apple AirPods Pro, you can control the volume by pressing the button on the stem. If it isn’t working, it’s possibly a fake.

3. Sound Quality: Listening to the sound quality is one of the key ways to telling whether your AirPods Pro are genuine or fake. If the sound is significantly lower than what you expect from a genuine product, it is likely a knock-off.

4. Bluetooth: Similarly, the Bluetooth function is something you want to thoroughly test. With the genuine Apple AirPods Pro, the connection to your device is seamless and fast. With fake AirPods Pro, the connection is much slower and laggy.

How do you fix an AirPod magnet?

Fixing an AirPod magnet can be a tricky process. If the magnet has become loose or weak, you’ll need to re-glue it in its place. To do this, you’ll need some adhesive, preferably super glue, although you can use other types of glue such as Gorilla Glue.

It’s important to first use a cloth or paper towel to clean off any dirt or debris from the area surrounding the magnet. Once the area is dry, apply the glue to the magnet, being careful not to get any on the part you’ll be gluing to.

Take care in pressing the magnet onto the part and making sure it’s aligned correctly. Allow the glue to dry for at least 24 hours before testing the magnet. If the magnet is unresponsive when exposed to a magnetic field, you may need to add additional layers of adhesive.

It may also help to heat the surface slightly with a heat gun before applying the adhesive. After the glue has been allowed to dry, test the magnet again before putting the device back together.

Why won’t my AirPods noise cancel?

Your AirPods are not designed to be noise-canceling headphones. Instead, they employ noise isolation technology, which promotes better sound quality by blocking out ambient noise. Noise cancellation typically relies on microphones that actively measure and analyze the surrounding environment, and then generate a signal that is the opposite of the ambient noise, and this signal is then played into your headphones.

Since AirPods don’t have noise cancellation technology, they will not be able to actively cancel out noise from your environment.

However, if you’re looking for a bit of extra sound isolation, there are some things you can do to make sure that your AirPods block as much ambient noise as possible. Using the foam ear-tips from the AirPods Pro is a great way to get better sound isolation, as the foam tips create a seal in the ear that blocks out external noise.

Wearing your AirPods over ear instead of directly in the ear can also secure a better sound seal and reduce outside noise. Finally, you can also try adjusting the settings in the ‘Live Listen’ section of the settings panel on your device.

This will set the microphone on your AirPods to be more sensitive to external noise, allowing you to pick up on more of your environment.
