Why are my bookmarks not saving in Firefox?

If your bookmarks are not saving in Firefox, it is likely due to a corrupt bookmark file or an extension that could be preventing them from saving properly. The first thing you should do is to try to back up your bookmarks by opening the Firefox Library and going to “Import and Backup” and then selecting “Backup” to create a backup copy of all your bookmarks.

If that does not work, you may need to delete the bookmark file to restore it to default. To do this, open Firefox Library, click the “Bookmarks” button and select “Show All Bookmarks”, then click Import and Backup and select Restore.

This will delete the existing bookmark file and restore it from a backup.

If this still does not work, it could be an extension causing the issue. To troubleshoot, try disabling all your extensions. To do this, go to the Firefox menu and select “Add-ons”. Then, click the “Extensions” tab and disable all of your extensions.

Once you have disabled the extensions, try re-saving your bookmarks and see if that works.

If none of these solutions work, you may need to reset Firefox to its default settings. To do this, go to the Firefox menu and select “Help” then click the “Troubleshooting information” link. Then, click the “Reset Firefox” button at the top right and follow the instructions.

This will reset Firefox to its original settings and may resolve any issues that you are experiencing.
