Why can’t I change my Apple ID to another email?

Your Apple ID is a unique identifier that is used to access all of Apple’s products and services, such as iCloud and the iTunes Store. You can’t change your Apple ID to another email address, however you can update the email address associated with your Apple ID.

This allows you to use a different address when signing in to iCloud, iTunes, and the App Store.

To update the email address associated with your Apple ID, you must have access to the email address. If you no longer have access to that email address, you cannot update your Apple ID. It’s also important to note that your Apple ID must be an active email address, and can’t be used as a username for any other Apple products.

If you don’t have access to the email address associated with your Apple ID, you can update your Apple ID to a new email address one time. After you update your Apple ID to a new email address, you can’t change it back to your old email address.

In addition, you can’t transfer a third-party email address to an Apple ID.

When creating a new Apple ID, be sure to use an active email address that you have access to. Once that email address is associated with your Apple ID, you can use it to sign in to iCloud and other Apple products and services.

Can I delete my Apple ID and make a new one?

Yes, you can delete your Apple ID and create a new one. You will need to sign out of all Apple services and devices with your current Apple ID before you can delete it. You can do this by going to Settings > [Your Name] > iTunes & App Store and tapping the Apple ID button at the top to sign out.

After signing out, you can then delete the existing Apple ID in the Apple ID account page. Once the existing Apple ID is deleted, you can then create a new one by following the steps in the Apple ID account page.

Keep in mind that deleting an Apple ID can not be undone, so it is important to have a backup of any data associated with it before deleting it.

How many Apple IDs can you have?

You can have up to three Apple IDs associated with your Apple device, although the ID must be linked to different email addresses. Each ID is exclusive to a different Apple service, such as iMessage, FaceTime, the iTunes Store, App Store, Apple Music, and more.

For example, you can have one for the iTunes Store, one for iMessage, and one for iCloud. Additionally, each Apple ID must be associated with a different payment method – no two Apple IDs can have the same payment method attached.

If you decide to change your Apple ID, it is important to go to ‘Settings’ and sign out of all devices in order to protect your data.

Can you change your Apple ID and keep everything?

Yes, you can change your Apple ID and keep everything, including purchases you’ve made in the iTunes Store, your photos, documents, and notes, etc. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before you make the change.

First, you must have a valid email address that you can confirm to be able to make the change. Once the change is made, it cannot be reversed, so be sure that you are sure about the change before doing it.

Furthermore, any music, movies, TV shows, books and apps that you purchased with the prior Apple ID will no longer be associated with your account. You will need to re-download any items that you want to access again with your new account.

It is also important to note that any data stored in iCloud from your old Apple ID will be lost if you make the change. Finally, if your device is using your old Apple ID for FaceTime and iMessage, you will need to sign out of those services before making the change as well.

After you have made the switch to the new ID, you can then sign back into FaceTime and iMessage with your new ID.
