Why does my phone say unable to send message message blocking is active?

This error message indicates that message blocking is currently active on your device. Message blocking is a feature that stops your phone from sending text messages (SMS) or multimedia messages (MMS).

This feature is often enabled by your mobile carrier, or by your phone’s manufacturer, in order to prevent texting fraud or to save you money on text messaging charges. If this feature has been enabled, it will prevent you from sending messages until the message blocking feature is disabled.

You can usually disable message blocking by accessing the settings on your phone. Alternatively, you can contact your mobile carrier and ask them to disable the feature for your account.

What does active blocking mean?

Active blocking is a type of firewall protection that operates by actively monitoring incoming and outgoing traffic and blocking any malicious activity. It is different from passive blocking, which only blocks suspicious activity after it is identified.

Active blocking is usually more effective in protecting your network from cyber attacks because it is quicker to detect and block malicious traffic, rather than waiting for it to be identified. This type of blocking prevents hackers from accessing your network and, if attackers do manage to access your system, active blocking makes it harder for them to do any significant damage.

How do you tell if your texts are blocked?

If you’re concerned that someone has blocked your text messages, there are a few ways to tell. One of the most common ways is to check if your messages have been consistently going through as normal or if they have been getting stuck on “delivered”.

If they’ve been remaining at “delivered” or “sent” and they don’t appear to be going through, it’s possible that the person has blocked you. Other signs to look for are if your text messages are suddenly being returned with the error “number not in service”, or if your messages that you send are disappearing after you send them.

Additionally, if you call the person and it goes straight to voicemail or is completely disconnected, that may be another sign that you’ve been blocked.

What happens when you send a text to a number that blocked you?

When you send a text to a number that has blocked you, the text message you sent will not be delivered. Typically, you will not receive any type of notification or an error message to indicate that the message was not delivered; rather your text message will just show as “sent” on your device.

The recipient will not receive the message even if the device is switched on and has cell service, as long as their device is still blocked. Depending on the type of device the recipient is using, they may also receive a message that your number is blocked so they can no longer receive any messages from you.

Why does my text message not say delivered?

When you send a text message, it doesn’t always immediately show as “delivered”. If you don’t see a “delivered” message below the text you sent, it could be for several reasons. First, it could be a reception issue.

If you or the receiver of your message don’t have service or are in a low service area then the text messages may not be delivered. Additionally, it could be related to the other person’s phone settings.

If their device is set not to show read receipts, then it could be that the message was received, but the “delivered” notification won’t show up. You could try to contact the person directly via a call or video call to verify if they have received the message, or you could try sending the message again.
