Why is my Aria scale not connecting?

Firstly, it is important to make sure that your scale is connected to the correct network. Check to ensure that the network name on your Aria matches the network name on your phone or other device. Secondly, ensure that your Aria Scale is positioned close enough to the router so that it can receive a strong signal.

Use your phone, laptop or tablet to reconnect the scale if necessary. Lastly, make sure to use the most up-to-date version of the Aria app or website to connect the scale. You can always use the firmware checker to verify if the scale is on the latest firmware.

If none of these solutions address the issue, contact Fitbit customer service to troubleshoot further.

Why won’t my Fitbit find the WiFi?

If your Fitbit is having difficulty connecting to your home WiFi network, there are a few things to check first.

1. If your Fitbit hasn’t been connected to the WiFi before, try restarting the device and restarting your home router. To restart your Fitbit, press the button on the side for about five seconds and then press the button again.

To reset your router, turn it off and wait for 30 seconds before turning it back on.

2. Double check that you have entered the correct password for your WiFi network. The Fitbit app will try to connect to the network you have chosen, however if it is incorrect it won’t be able to connect.

Try re-entering the password just to be sure.

3. Make sure your Fitbit is close enough to the router. The further away the device is, the weaker the connection will be or it might not be able to connect at all. Make sure your Fitbit is in the same room as your router during setup.

4. Check with your ISP to make sure that your router is working properly. If there are any issues on their end, it might be why your Fitbit is unable to connect.

5. If you’re using a secure network, try setting it up with a WPA 2 Personal encryption code.

If you’ve tried all the above and your Fitbit still won’t connect, try reaching out to Fitbit Support or contact your ISP to troubleshoot further.

What’s the difference between Fitbit Aria and Aria 2?

The main difference between Fitbit’s Aria and Aria 2 scales is the accuracy of the readings. The original Aria was released in 2012, and was Fitbit’s first foray into the smart scale market. The Aria 2 was released recently in 2017 with updates, including improved accuracy and more consistent weighing results when compared to the original.

Some of the other improvements made to the Aria 2 include being able to recognize up to eight distinct user profiles, a modernized design and Bluetooth connectivity.

Accuracy was of huge importance to Fitbit when designing the Aria 2 and the scale now makes use of 3 sensors (2 for weight, 1 for BMI) for improved accuracy when compared to the original. The Aria 2 also now relies on Wi-Fi for syncing data, instead of the original’s use of an internet browser.

Apart from increased accuracy, the Aria 2 is a much sleeker model of its predecessor. The edges are rounded for a more modern design and the display is larger and brighter than the original’s. Additionally, thanks to the combination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology, the Aria 2 is more reliable and has a much quicker syncing time than before.
