Why is my owlet base not connecting to Wi-Fi?

There are several possible reasons why your Owlet Base might not be connecting to Wi-Fi. Before troubleshooting, it is important to make sure your router is up and running, and in range of your Owlet Base.

If your router is working correctly, then some potential causes of connection issues might be:

– You are attempting to connect to the wrong Wi-Fi network. Make sure you have the correct network, password and security type selected when attempting to connect.

– You have exceeded any device-per-network limits set on the router.

– You are trying to connect to a 5 GHz network on devices that only support 2.4 GHz. Your Owlet Base only supports 2.4 GHz networks.

– There may be interference from other devices in the same area. Make sure there are no other devices operating on the same frequency (both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz).

– Your router is having hardware or software issues. Check with your router’s manufacturer for any known issues or bugs related to your router’s model and firmware.

– Your router’s settings may need to be adjusted in order to allow Owlet products to properly connect. Check with your router’s manufacturer to see if they have settings that need to be adjusted or enabled.

If none of these steps resolve your connection issues, it is recommended that you contact Owlet Support with the details of your issue.

How do I hard reset my owlet?

To hard reset your Owlet, you’ll need to take the following steps:

1. Power off the Owlet monitor by pressing and holding the Power button until the status lights turn off.

2. Unplug the power adapter from the monitor.

3. Press and hold the Reset button on the bottom of the monitor for 10 seconds.

4. Re-connect the power adapter, then press the Power button to turn the Owlet back on.

5. Initial setup will begin, and you will need to follow the instructions on the app or your Owlet’s manual to complete the reset process.

Is there a way to reset the owlet sock?

Yes, you can reset the Owlet Smart Sock to restore the device to factory settings. Here are the steps to do this:

1. Unplug your Base Station from power and from your router.

2. Insert a straightened paperclip into the small reset hole on the bottom of the Base Station, and hold for about 8 seconds until the lights on the Base Station start to flicker.

3. Allow the Base Station to continue to cycle and dim the lights three times.

4. Power the Base Station back on again by plugging it back into the wall and your router.

5. The Base Station will re-sync with your Sock, and the Sock will reset to factory settings.

Once the Sock is reset, it can be re-synced with the Base Station, and you can use the app to set up your account, add caregivers, monitor your baby, receive smart notifications, and more.

How do I reconnect my Owlet sock to my Base Station?

In order to reconnect your Owlet Smart Sock to your Base Station, you should follow the steps below:

1. Ensure that your Base Station is powered on, and is in Close Proximity to your Owlet Smart Sock.

2. Download the Owlet app and sign in or create an account.

3. On the App home screen, select the Settings icon (gear icon) and then select Base Station.

4. Tap the reconnect icon (refreshing arrows).

5. You should then see a list of available base station connections. Select the one that matches your Base Station’s serial number.

6. Once the Base Station is reconnected, a confirmation message should appear on your phone.

7. Place the Owlet Smart Sock onto the battery snap and snap it firmly onto the Base Station.

8. Wait for the Base Station to register a connection to your Smart Sock. This can take up to 30 seconds.

9. Once connected, you’ll be able to view your baby’s information on the Owlet App.

These steps should help you to easily reconnect your Owlet Smart Sock to your Base Station.

How far can the Owlet base be from the sock?

The Owlet Smart Sock Base Station can be placed up to 100 feet/30 meters away from the Owlet sock. So, you should be able to place the Owlet Base Station in the baby’s room and have the sock up to 100 feet/30 meters away from it.

However, the farther away the distance is between the Base Station and the sock, the higher chance of decreased signal strength and lack of reliable connection. Therefore, it is best to have the Base Station and sock as close as possible.

Can you still use old Owlet sock?

Yes, you can still use old Owlet Socks. They are compatible with the current app, so you should be able to access all the features that you are used to. The new version of the Owlet Smart Sock may offer additional features, but the basics of the product remain the same.

Why does my Owlet say server connection failure?

If you’re using a dual-band router, we recommend disabling the 5GHz option, as some methods of authentication can cause a connection issue.

If your router is set up correctly and the Owlet still gives you a server connection failure message, the connection between your home Wi-Fi and internet service provider might be disrupted. In this case, you will want to try and reset your modem.

You may want to contact your internet service provider if none of the steps above solved the issue.

Is the Owlet app working?

The Owlet app is currently working, however there have been some recent reports of it not connecting properly. Some users are having issues with the app using the latest version of the iOS software. If you are experiencing difficulty with the Owlet app, we recommend trying the following steps:

1. Ensure that you have the most recent version of the app installed by updating the app in the App Store.

2. Check that your device is compatible with the current version of the app.

3. Make sure that notifications are enabled in the settings of your phone.

4. Log out of the app, restart the app, and log back in.

5. Check your Wi-Fi connection and ensure that it is working properly.

6. Uninstall and reinstall the app.

How do I get Owlet back online?

To get your Owlet back online, the first thing you should do is to check that it is properly connected to your home Wi-Fi network. To do this, open the app and go to ‘Devices’. Then, select the device you want to connect and tap ‘Connect’.

You should see a prompt to enter the Wi-Fi network and password. Enter the network and password, and then select ‘Continue’.

How do you turn off the sock sensor on owlet 3?

To turn off the sock sensor on the Owlet 3, you will need to disconnect both the base station and the sock from the power outlets and wait for 10 seconds. After that, plug the base station power adapter into the power outlet and wait for 30 seconds.
